Four things to do this weekend

London is full of things to do. Luckily, I’ve lived just outside central my whole life, so I’m not far from all the action. When Christmas arrives, things only get better – carol singing in Covent Garden, pop-up Christmas cinemas, festive funfairs, there’s just so much to do. While the city revels in all its yuletide glory then, here’s what you should definitely make time for this weekend.

Get Pampered At Blush And Blow London

There’s only two things better than chocolate, and that’s puppies and beauty treatments. You’ll get both at Blush and Blow London, and while the former is ridiculously adorable, it’s you that everyone’ll be fussing over by the time you leave. I’ve had Shellac nails here before, and went chip-free for a whole three weeks afterwards. As well as manis, the ladies also offer blow dries, waxing, make up and facials. Christmas parties = sorted.

Visit Barry’s Bootcamp

In preparation for Christmas a.k.a. International Debauchery Day, I’ve been trying to stick to a regular workout routine. Of course, this’ll become totally redundant the second I turn on my out of office, but hey-ho. Barry’s Bootcamp is the perfect quick fix. Combining treadmill intervals with hardcore mat work, it targets every area on your body and results are almost immediate. I’ve attended many a fitness class in my time, but this is by far the most effective (check out my at home alternative here).

Go Shopping At Selfridges

Let’s not beat around the bush, Christmas shopping is hell. I usually try and get the majority done online, but the next best thing is a department store. You can get everything you need in one place, and the fact Selfridges is beautifully festive kind of softens the blow. Once you’re all done, there’s plenty of good food choices too – the Hemsley & Hemsley café is a no-brainer. Of course, the idea is you’ll be shopping for others, but all that hard work deserves a little self-love, no? In case you just so happen to get a little sidetracked then, here’s my top three Selfridges picks:

Bag, JW Anderson, £895

Dress, Self Portrait, £255

Heels, Sophia Webster, £460

Dine At Clos Maggiore

It’s already been crowned the World’s Most Romantic Restaurant, so that’ll give you an idea of how magical this place is. When it’s not Christmas, the place is decked out with a ceiling of pretty petals and branches and when December hits, it gets even cuter. There’s only a handful of tables inside, a cosy fireplace and waiters so friendly you’ll want to take them home with you. Basically, it’s so picture perfect you won’t even notice what you’re eating. (In case you’re wondering, it’s French, and the food is to die for). See what I wore here.

What are your plans? Merry Christmas!
