La Suite West is the type of hotel you never want to leave. Like, hotels are nice and all, but it’s also nice to get back to home comforts after a while. Agreed? Well not with La Suite West. I stayed at the hotel for the first time last weekend, and I’ve never felt more ‘at home’ than I did there. We ate there, slept there, had the best bath EVER there, and the whole time, all I could think about was how much I’d like to live there. So I thought I’d tell you why.
1. The garden suites
Unlike the layout of most hotels, the suites at La Suite West are set apart from the main building in the hotel gardens. This is good for a few things: you can’t hear other guests walking up and down the corridors, you won’t get altitude sickness every time you look out of the window and see you’re 83190 floors up, and, as the name suggests, you’ve got your very own outdoor space in the gardens. There’s even a huge sofa, dining table area, four-poster bed and all marble bathroom.
2. The gym
Even if it’s only for 20 mins or so, I try and workout wherever I am. La Suite West has its very own gym, and while it’s not the biggest, the equipment is more than enough if you’re only here for a short staycation like I was. There’s three different types of cardio machines, a whole set of free weights, and it’s open 24/7.
3. The staff
You know how some hotel staff are just there to do their job, and others are there because they actually want to be? Well, the staff at La Suite West are without a doubt the most helpful, kind and friendly hotel team I have ever dealt with. From the moment the lady at check-in commented on my make-up (Armani Luminous Silk Foundation for the win), the staff couldn’t have been more willing to help if they tried. We were basically BFFs by the time we left.

4. The food
I’m alllll for healthy eating, and La Suite West has SO many vegan and veggie options. We chose to eat out in the evenings, but had breakfast (in the room – because breakfast in bed is life, obvs) and there was plenty to choose from. The hotel also hosts its very own vegan afternoon tea (which I’ll be going back to try later this month).
5. The location
The hotel is located in Bayswater, 5 mins from Bayswater underground and Queensway stations. You can practically see Hyde Park from your window, and Notting Hill (aka prettiest place in London), is a 10 min walk away.
6. The heated floors
I’d only ever experienced heated floors in the bathrooms in Vegas (read my Venetian Hotel Las Vegas review here), so when I realised the bathrooms in La Suite West had under floor heating I nearly died. Words can’t explain the feeling of getting ready for bed with what is essentially a radiator under your feet.
7. The bed
I’m SO fussy with beds, but the ones at La Suite West were honestly perfect. Not too soft, not too hard, and a choice of three pillows.
8. The TV
The garden suites at La Suite West don’t just come with any old TV, they come with a TV that comes up out of the four-poster bed. Let me say that again; up out of the four-poster bed. As in, you get a remote control to move it up and down as you please. Obvs now saving for my own.
9. The bath
If you follow me on Instagram (@bridiewilkins), you’ll have seen my room tour on stories. If not, you missed out. The bathroom is entirely marble, the bath is h-u-g-e, and you even get a selection of The White Company toiletries.
10. The design
It’s not often I stay in a hotel with interiors I would actually use in my home, but when I said I’d like to live at La Suite West, I meant I wouldn’t even change anything about it if I did. You know how a lot of city hotels are quite corporate looking? Well La Suite West is the opposite – it’s all black and white, with thick wooden shutters, marble detail and warm lighting. The dream.
I could go on, but those are my top 10 things about La Suite West. Comment below or email me if you want to know anything else!
