What To Wear On Christmas Day

Eat, sleep, drink, repeat. That’s what I’ve done every Christmas day until now, and that’s what I’ll be doing again this time around.

As always, this raises two problems: 1) I’ll gain 5lbs and go up 2 clothes sizes by the end of the night. 2) I’ll need my clothes to double up as pyjamas.

The solution? A super stretchy waistband and extra soft fabrics and, after a long, hard search, I’ve found an outfit that has those and looks good.

I went for two key trends: ruffles + red. As well as the fact both are huge right now, they’re practically made for Christmas.

Admittedly, the final look isn’t a particularly festive one, but you’ll come to know I’m not big on colour, while I felt the subtle pop of red made for a more grown-up look than if I’d gone bold all over. Plus, it’s an outfit we can recycle all season and no-one’ll ever know what it was made for!
